Fated To Love You

Fated To Love You is a Taiwanese drama of 24 episodes so it's not too long and not too short.  The story is about Chen Xin Yi who is the most ordinary and plain girl that you would ever meet.  She is known as the Sticky Note Girl because like a sticky note, she is used when needed and tossed aside and forgotten about.  Even her birth was insignificant, her mom wanted to abort her because she already had 2 daughters but the doctor didn't want to give her discount for her abortion medicines so he switched the meds when she was looking in her purse to pay him.  While her mom was doing the laundry at the river, she "had a stomach ache and accidentally gave birth," and continued doing the laundry.  The only person who ever paid her any attention was her father who told her the story of Cinderella and that if she worked hard then her prince will notice her hardwork but unfortunately her father died shortly after.  At work, she does everyone's job for them when asked with a sticky note on her and often works overtime.  A coworker who was quitting complimented on how cute the sticky note was on her head but she misunderstood and thought he was talking to her so she latched onto him thinking he is her prince charming for noticing her.  She arranges a getaway cruise with her boyfriend but doesn't notice that he is a big jerk and ends up wooing another girl on the cruise and maxes out her credit card because he's too cheap to spend his own money.  Meanwhile on the cruise, Ji Cun Xi is the only heir and director to the largest chemical company and is planning for the 12th time to propose to his girlfriend of 2 years, Anna, who is a ballerina dancer.  Anna was on her way to the cruise until she received the call that she will be the first Asian to play Odette in Swan Lake at the Lincoln Center so she ends up standing Cun Xi up.  Xin Yi ends up catching a cold and takes some cold medicine but ends up being really drowsy and ends up walking into Cun Xi's room.  Meanwhile a father and son try to convince Cun Xi to give them back their shampoo factory but he refuses so they end up drugging him with Viagra and having him sleep with a prostitute so they can take pictures and blackmail him although it turns out the prostitute never showed up.  Cun Xi returns to his room in the dark and thinks the girl laying in his bed is Anna so they end up doing the nasty and the blackmailers barged in to take the scandalous pictures but it turns out the girl that's in bed with Cun Xi is their sister in law and daughter in law.  It all goes down south for Xin Yi because not only did she lose her virginity to a stranger, she also learned the truth about her boyfriend and was even kicked out of her own room by him.  Cun Xi sees that she was innocent in this whole ordeal so he helps her gain her confidence back and turns her into a beauty for the night and she gets revenge against her ex.  After the cruise, they part ways never to see each other again but fate works in funny ways and they meet again and are bound together because she's pregnant!

I enjoyed watching this series because their reactions are pretty hilarious and the characters are quite humorous as well.  Cun Xi's grandma is probably the most liked character of all because she just cracks you up with her silly banter.  The series is pretty sweet and cute especially the things Cun Xi does to try to woo her to get her back.  Cun Xi's immaturity is quite hilarious because he plots so many schemes to win her back but it always backfires because she finds out he was lying the whole time.  I think the perverted and seductive scenes are the best parts because Cun Xi makes the most ridiculous facial expressions.  It is funny but it is not all funny because it is also heartbreaking too and it just makes you want to cry for their pain.  Overall, it's a good series so you should watch it!
