Generation Me

I just read an article pertaining to the lack of empathy in college students nowadays versus 20 or 30 years prior.  The study claims that this generation also known as Generation Me is really all about me that the emotions of others are irrelevant because my life is about me, not you.  They say this disassociation with others is due to the numbness resulting from violent media as well as online social networking, which may be true because cyber bulling is a big fad online where you don't really have any real life repercussions since what are the chances of people finding out where you live to kick your ass so you can hide behind your computer monitor and do things that you couldn't really do in real life.  Sure, people nowadays are selfish but when has man never been selfish?  It's just human nature.

Actionman in action!

In other news, girls are so double standard.  They can hate Miley Cyrus like crazy and call her a talentless skank because she's trying to grow up so fast, although the reason for their hate is because she's a girl their age with the fame and privileges they never had.  Whereas, they're all lovely dovey when it comes to Justin Bieber although he's pretty much doing the same things she's doing except she has her parents' blessings but that's probably because since she grew up in the spot light since she was born, she had to grow up fast and her parents thought her well.  Whereas Bieber is new to fame and his parents can no longer control him because he does whatever he wants to do regardless of what his parents say.  The media was all over Cyrus when she got a tattoo with her parents' permission although she is near adulthood but I heard recently Bieber who is way younger got a tattoo too but the media wasn't all negative about that nor did it even care.   Although I think it's pretty lame that he got a little bird tattoo which is lame and is even more lame because he got it on his hip, how gay can he be?  Considering his parents are regular people and still want to discipline him but they can't anymore because he holds the power, I'm sure they said f no on the tattoo but he probably said f you and you can't stop him.  In terms of music, I always thought it was great for Cyrus to pull away from Disney music because her best selling music are her own music and people have to remember she's no longer a kid.  In other news, Greyson Chance came back on the Ellen show where he was the recipient of $10,000 from whatever program Ellen was doing and Yamaha saw his video at home playing on his old piano so they decided to give him a brand new piano to play on and lastly the story of Greyson inspired Ellen to start her own record label and Greyson is her first signing artist so best of luck to them.
