Jealousy

I think it is retarded for parents to get all jealous of their kids becoming fond of someone else besides them.  It is obvious children will become fond of those that are active in their lives and why shouldn't they be because if you are there for them then there is a bond.  If you are one of those parents that would rather work or spend time with your spouse without your kids then that's your choice but do not expect your children to welcome you back with open arms when you are not there for them but someone else is instead.  Sure, they are  your children but that doesn't mean anything if you are never around and do not witness yourself what goes on in their life.  It's like a birth mother or father saying they should know the child they never met just because they are their own kin.  People are just retarded.
