The Right To Be Mean

I received a text from my older brother today and the contents of the text made me literally laugh out loud.  The quote of the day came from a lady in a car, her response to a cancer patient on a wheelchair was "don't be mean to me just because you're handicapped."  It's true that handicapped or terminally ill people don't have the right to be mean just because their life is screwed up but then again since their life is screwed up then shouldn't they be able to vent by being mean?  Do healthy people have the right to be healthy and rub it into the faces of those that are ill?
