False Alarm?

I managed to fix some kinks in my laptop which solved the super lagginess that it was experiencing the past couple of days. Somehow on the start up, the java application was turned off and possilbly some other start up programs that were neccessary to be turned on at start up. Well, that's one issued solved but I'm still running into the issue of not being able finish the Windows update at shut down. It's always stuck at 1 of 6 update installation! Why oh why?

Why can't technology be this yummy?
